Our Cottage
Cruck Barn Cottage’s traditional stone exterior is a compliment and contrast to the stylish modern interior. The stunning, full height, open plan living space perfectly showcases the wonderful architectural legacy of the barn’s original Cruck Beam construction, with two sets of rare cruck beams.
A well-stocked Welcome Box awaits your arrival, including one of Susan’s delicious home-baked cakes, a pot of High Ashes Farm homemade berry jam, milk, locally baked bread loaf, 6 free-range eggs, tea, ground coffee, and chilled Owlet apple juice.
We want our guests to feel relaxed from the moment they arrive. A Scandinavian wood burner warms the cosy, comfortable lounge and dining area, and the generously sized, modern, fully-equipped kitchen makes cooking a pleasure. Cruck Barn also has WiFi, a flat-screen television, DVD player and music system.
The well-designed kitchen is fully equipped with all the usual appliances, along with a Nespresso coffee maker, an automatic dishwasher and a washer/dryer.
The cottage benefits from underfloor central heating and a modern, easy to operate Scandinavian wood burner, for which there is always a ready supply of logs.
A storeroom offers space for damp clothes and boots after a day’s exploring.
Overlooking the living area is a galleried bedroom with 5-foot bed and breathtaking views across the glorious countryside.
The chic, ground floor bathroom has a bath and over bath shower and is stocked with luxurious fluffy white towels, robes and high quality toiletries.
